Pauline Stephan<\/strong> (cello) and Julian Richter<\/strong> (guitar), both natives of the Ruhr area in Germany, met in 2015 while studying at the Musikhochschule M\u00fcnster. After just a few weeks, they founded the Duo Giussani.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition to searching for original pieces for this particular instrumentation, they play various arrangements, their own arrangements and compositions dedicated to the duo itself. And so a repertoire from Antonio Vivaldi to Spain to Enrique Granados as well as from the Brazilian composer Radam\u00e9s Gnattali to the Estonian composer Ester M\u00e4gi was created.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Duo Giussani has already been able to demonstrate „pure joy of playing“ at several international festivals such as in Germany<\/strong> in Seeon Monastery, at the „Celloherbst am Hellweg“, in\u00a0Italy<\/strong>\u00a0at the „North Lake Como Festival“, in Levico Terme, at the „Herbst Musicaux Festival“ in Palazzo Giusti Verona, at the „Incontri musicali d’estate“ in Pescara, in\u00a0France<\/strong>\u00a0at the „Festival des Heures Musicales“ in Binic, at „Les Cl\u00e9s du Classique“ in Osseja, at „Les Musicales de Saint-Martin“ in Paris, in\u00a0Spain<\/strong>\u00a0at the „Festival Aguere“ in Tenerife in the casino of the city of La Laguna, in Mallorca at the „Festival Son Bono“ and in\u00a0Brazil<\/strong>\u00a0at the „Festival de Violoncelos de Ouro Branco“ and in the Brucknerhaus in Austria<\/strong>. In 2025, the duo performed on a tour of Japan <\/strong>in concert halls in Hiroshima, Fukuoka and Tokyo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since 2018 the two musicians are scholarship holders of the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation „Live Music Now“. In 2023, the duo won second prize in the chamber music category at the eighth Nilo Peraldo Bert Guitar Competition in Italy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
